Who Can Charter a Yacht?
Anyone can Yacht Charter
Being wealthy or having power or sailing yacht experience is not a requirement of yacht charter. There are yacht charters priced from the single thousands that would suit the most value conscious charterers. If a charterer wants to sit back and relax and let someone do all the work (they can participate as much as they like, of course), there are plenty of options. The charterer can still charter a bareboat but with a captain and if they want someone to do their cooking too, they can request a first mate/cook. If a charterer is looking for a larger yacht, dedicated crew, or something more luxurious, then they can talk to a broker about a crewed yacht charter. However, if the charterer does have the experience and wants to captain their own boat, they can charter a bareboat from a bareboat charter company like the Moorings (they have both power and sailing yachts) or Sunsail (just sailing yachts).
