  • Name: John Mashburn
  • Role: Captain
  • Bio: Captain John Masburn hails from a little town in Alabama and brings his southern hospitality to the Caribbean. Captain John graduated from the University of Alabama in 1992. After 8 years in the service of the United States he decided it was time to go sailing. Having traveled through the Yucatan, Cuba (donít tell the US please), Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Puerto Rico, the eastern US Seaboard and the Virgin Islands Captain John joined us aboard S/Y Catatonic with a vast knowledge of sailing and islands. In addition to his sailing skills Captain John brings us his many years of hospitality service and his expertise with blender drinks. Ask for it Ė he can make it! John is also a Licensed Commercial Pilot and a PADI SCUBA instructor.

  • Name: Alexis Garrison
  • Role: Chef & First Mate
  • Bio: Chef/mate Alexis Garrison, formerly of S/Y Charme, learned to cook at a young age in her parentsí restaurant in Mississippi. She spent her summers with her grandparents on the Gulf Coast where she was enrolled in a sailing school by the age of 7. Her family sold the restaurant and relocated to the Caribbean when Alexis was 18. She has experience sailing through the South Pacific and Asia. She spent a year aboard a whale watching boat in Hawaii but always returns to her first love, the USVI. Living in St. John for the last six years Alexis has split her time between sailing with her brother and friends and working in high end restaurants. Alexis canít wait to share not only her love of great food but also her favorite part of the world, the Caribbean.



Rate Information


  • Minimum Rate: $10,000
  • Maximum Rate: $12,000
  • Rate Details: All charter rates are based on a 7 night, 8 day vacation, Longer and shorter vacations are available, all inclusive except for the customary 10% to 15% gratuity to a deserving crew, any land tours, meals off the yacht, communication expenses or vintage wines and champagnes.
