Tahiti Yacht Charter Summary Information

Island of Moorea

The islands of Tahiti are located in an area of over 2,000 kilometers and are made up of five distinct archipelagos; filled with clear waters, lagoons and atolls brimming with tropical fish, and some of the best snorkeling opportunities in the world, Tahiti offers superb sailing and yacht chartering conditions. April to October is the prime sailing and chartering season, as the weather is sunny and the seas are calm. Trade winds are modest from April to June, blowing in from the east at around 11 to 16 knots. November to March is rainy, and will often see a few hurricanes – only the most experienced sailors should venture out. Lagoon entrances in the Tahitian islands are clearly marked, making for easy sailing and anchorage.
