Port of Skiathos - Skiathos
Skiathos and the area (newer) port are surrounded by lushness. There are oak, chestnut and pine trees dotting the island. The whole island has secluded beaches, caves and lots of history to explore. The port with the same name is on the eastern side of the island, just south of the airport. This is one of the main ports and has the town hall nearby. There are some nice walkways and park benches if you come ashore even for a short visit. You can really get anything you need here as the town huddles right up to the shoreline. Along the main street of Papadiamandis, you can find all the bars and restaurants. You can get taxis, buses and ferries from here too.
