Panama Yacht Charter Information

Central American in general and Panama specifically has some of the most untouristed and thereby untouched coves and beaches this side of the world, especially the Caribbean side. Though yacht charters do come here, it's quite possible you won't see one on any given day. The winds around Panama during the summer time (December through March) are calm, breezy but can carry you anywhere you need to go up and down the coastline. The Caribbean and especially the Pacific seashore is bespeckled with isles, islands and archipelagos, and the only way to get to most of them is with your chartered vessel. After December, the line of sight and is clear and there's plenty of time to give rocks a wide berth. Sailing upwind is no problem but it's often best to head from north to south, taking in as much cruising with the wind as you can.
