  The San Juan Islands just north of Seattle have to be one of the best cruising grounds anywhere. Catch your own crabs, oysters, salmon easy from most boats. Great State and County parks and moorages. Several outstanding resorts with great food. Many sheltered achorages. Sucia Isaland is one of the best islands to visit (no electricity for the boats, but generators help). This large group of islands are actually mountain tops protruding from the water, so water can be very deep - and very cold. Great places to explore by small tenders everywhere in the islands. And the Canadian Gulf Islands are just as good. Great place to cruise!!!!!
