Khokhilariou Bay - Kos
On the flip side of Kos, just north and slightly east of Kamari port lies Khokhilariou Bay (a.k.a. Ormos Khokhilariou). If you want to get away from the crowds and touristy agendas on Kos, then this is the side of the island you want to be on. There is no mole, port or moorings to be seen but there are plenty of places to drop anchor in the shallow waters just off the beach (there are hundreds in this part of the Dodecanese Islands). There are some hotels nearby, and one is less than 100 meters from the beach, the Castello Di rodi Greek Chic Hotel has cheaper rooms and a restaurant if you want to get away from the water for a day.
