Sandy Island - Grenada

This little island is just around the jutting of Tyrell Bay. There are not so many trees but there is a nice little beach facing Carriacou. If you like to snorkel, this is one place that you won’t want to miss as the diving pelicans seem to be half-wit crazy. There are quite a few places to drop anchor here near Sandy Island or closer to the long double-half-moon beach on Carriacou that faces Sandy Island. Most boats, however, perhaps don’t spend the night here and go toward Clifton Harbor on Union Island. You’ll also find some protected harbors on Petit Martinique.
