Florida Keys Yacht Charter Summary Information

Beach in Key West

The Florida Keys is a sailor’s fantasy. With all the islands, clear water and coral, chartering power yachts here has a long season. The water is heated with the flow of the Gulf Stream. Sailing in the Keys is fine year round; however, the best sailing comes during the winter months. The line-of-sight is often clear for several nautical miles, giving views of far off islands. As there are large beds of living coral throughout the Florida Keys, chartering captains must keep a close lookout. Chartering from Boot Key Harbor or Miami Beach and sailing southwest all the way down to Marathon and Key West offers up over 120 nautical miles of island hopping.
