Golfe de Girolata - Corsica
The red rocks of the surrounding Girolata Cove on the upper east flanks of Corsica are out of a sailor’s dream. In addition to a nice small beach, there are some nice rocky outcrops with a watchtower from the 17th century. It resembles a small castle and overlooks the cove. There are some small houses along the shoreline to boot. There are plenty of places to moor your boat and then take your dingy ashore to explore the territory. Calvi, a town just to the north with three bastions with brown and red ocher edifices, can’t be missed if you like Girolata.
