Roberton Island - Bay of Islands
Slightly north of Russell Bay and just over a mile in length, Roberton Island offers a nice half moon beach for exploring. You can drop anchor just off land and hit some shallow waters. There are a couple lagoons and some dirt roads worth exploring if you’d like to go on land. There are rocks on one side and just a few meters away are grasses, trees and then the lovely beach. If you like to know what you’re looking at while snorkeling, there’s an underwater trail to follow. There are some moorings but no wharf or dock to speak of. You’ll have to buy supplies before coming here.
