Opua Wharf (Marina) - Bay of Islands

Opua Marina was opened in 2000 as the main Port of Entry for foreign vessels coming into this part of New Zealand. Since then, you can now buy all kinds of supplies here. Opua Wharf is located about five driving minutes from Paihia and less than 20 minutes from Kerikeri and the airport—if you can’t find what you need at Opua Marina, then just head inland. There are 144 islands to explore here, with more of a concentration of marine life than a lot of places. There are 235 berths at Opua Marina and they can hold boats as small as 10 meters to 27 meters. You can stay shorter or longer term if you stay outside the marina breakwater. There are 30 swing moorings and pile moorings.
