Baja Yacht Charter Summary Information
Mountainous deserts serve as the backdrop for your Mexican sailing adventure. These earthy colors contrast quite well to the bright blue and green water of the Sea of Cortez. The dry season is from December through April, and this is generally considered the "cruising" season. Squalls called "Chubascos" are common from July through October. The winds are usually out of the northwest from October until May, when southern winds become more frequent and dead wind periods become a common occurrence. Strong winds during the early winter can provide 25 knot winds throughout most of the week and make a northward trek in very choppy seas. The area is teeming with wildlife, including dolphins, sea lions, whales, crabs, vultures, and pelicans.
