Cape Sounion - Athens
Cape Sounion is the place where mythology comes to reality. You’ll not only find some of the most beautiful crannies and coves, but you’ll happen upon Greek artifacts and the famous Poseidon temple. The sunsets are said to be the best, with purple hued reflections rifling off the Aegean Sea. The area is often very crowded with boats, however. There are plenty of places along the coast to get away, and coming to Sounion overland is simple by public transport if you moor in another location.
