Port of Piraeus - Athens

Just north of Faliron Bay and around the jutting peninsula lies Port of Piraeus. Though its well-protected, southerly wind tides can reach well over one foot high, with northerly tides reaching nearly double that. Additionally, on the rare occasion of fog, visibility is reduced to 200 yards, though this can happen at any one of the bays on the western side. The port authorities recommend mooring at Elefsina Bay or Aiynia or the Psittalia Islands if strong southerly winds come in. There are plenty of places to moor, with many tourists and sailors alike using the ferries to get to other parts of Europe. From Brittany to Wightlink, you can get about anywhere in Europe from here.
