Ischia Porto - Amalfi Coast

Ischia Porto is on Northeast of the island, Ischia, which is just three nautical miles from Procida. As you glide into this main port, an Aragonese castle (from the former Aragon Kingdom of Spain) is visible in the distance. There are sulfur thermal baths and springs on the island if you’ve got a case of arthritis. Some are open to the public while others are private and may charge a fee. Wine is grown here and many a restaurant supply it to your table. The port itself is a teardrop shape and has nice manmade moles as protection from the sea and winds. Large and small boats alike can recharge here as the port used to be a volcanic crater. In fact, it opened to the sea and filled with water in the mid-1800s. The waterfront is famous for piano bars and laughter all through the night.
