CharterExpert - About Us
CharterExpert was founded in August 2006 by avid sailors and travelers Matt and Stephen. Unsatisfied with the current offerings on the Internet to find quality yacht charters, Matt and Stephen set out to create a website that allows users to rate and review charter sailing destinations and companies, as well as to add and update charter sailing information.
Letter from the Founders

CharterExperts,
It has been almost a year since our last letter so we felt it was time for some updates. Before we get started, we would like to give a big thank you to everyone that visits the site and especially those who share their charter knowledge and experiences. Your contributions help make CharterExpert more useful. On that note, we would like to talk about how we are going to make CharterExpert better.
First and foremost, we will be adding an Individual Yachts section and changing the name of the Companies section to Fleet Operators. Individual Yachts will be for the private yacht owners and operators to list individual charters. The Fleet Operators section will be for the companies that manage fleets of yachts. As always, users will be able to rate and review Individual Yachts and Fleet Operators.
In addition to the new charter sections, we are also working on adding forums to our site. While reviews are the focus of CharterExpert, we also aim to provide charter and destination information as well as create an online community for charterers. We think adding a forum will help achieve both of these goals.
As always, we will continue to add more charter content including maps, videos, and articles. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve CharterExpert further, please send us an email.
We hope everyone is as excited about CharterExpert as we are. Be on the lookout for the improvements over the next 3-6 months.
