Mediterranean Yacht Charter Reviews and Information
The Mediterranean Sea was sailed upon by merchants and traders of ancient times, allowing Phoenicians, Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Moorish and other cultures to haggle and swap goods. In his The Philosophy of History, Goerg Hegel writes that the Mediterranean is the “center of world history”. Hegel would have been more right to say that the Mediterranean is the “center of exceptional yacht charter holidays”. The Mediterranean—sometimes called the Med, or European or EuroAfrican Mediterranean Sea—laps against some of the foremost sailing destinations in the world. With places like Croatia, Greece, Italy, Spain, France and the like, it's no wonder these “classic” sailing ports of call sees thousands of sailors during the power yacht and sailing yacht chartering season. There are plenty of winds and breezes crisscrossing the Mediterranean: the mistral, bora, scirocco, levanter, meltemi and the like, so the summer sailing season never sees seas of doldrums.
